On Monday the 6th of October a very special guest arrived at Serpell. His name is Kevin the Kiwi and he has travelled all the way from Meadowbank School in Auckland, New Zealand. He arrived safely and began chirping as soon as he left his parcel!! Also in the parcel arrived 'The Kiwi that was Scared of the Dark'. We read the book straight away and learnt about nocturnal New Zealand animals-we really enjoyed it!!! The book was so much fun to read! Kiwi loves our school and we can't wait to take him on a tour.We are going to take great care of Kevin the Kiwi.

We were thrilled to see his photograph on your blogsite and some of us even went home and showed our mums and dads on the computer! We know that you will look after Kevin very well! Hello from the Wrens class in England. Kevin the Kiwi looks lovely, we hope you have lots of fun with him. Our class toy is called Rosie bear and she goes on journey's around the world with us. She hasn't been to Australia yet but maybe she will one day!
