G. A Avatars are coming!!!

This week in Global Ambassadors, we have been learning about protecting our identity. It is very important to protect personal information about ourselves when we are working and publishing on the net. An avatar is a cartoon image of ourselves. We have been having a lot of fun designing what we look like as a cartoon and then adding crazy 'wild' animal features! Look out for our avatars next week...

Kevin the Kiwi Arrives!!!

On Monday the 6th of October a very special guest arrived at Serpell. His name is Kevin the Kiwi and he has travelled all the way from Meadowbank School in Auckland, New Zealand. He arrived safely and began chirping as soon as he left his parcel!! Also in the parcel arrived 'The Kiwi that was Scared of the Dark'. We read the book straight away and learnt about nocturnal New Zealand animals-we really enjoyed it!!! The book was so much fun to read! Kiwi loves our school and we can't wait to take him on a tour.We are going to take great care of Kevin the Kiwi.

Introducing 'Poss' our Global Ambassador

This is our Global Ambassador-Poss the Possum. He is a Brushtail Possum who is native to where we live in Tempelstowe. Poss is currently overseas visiting Meadowbank School in Auckland, New Zealand. He likes to eat Vegemite, Minties, Steak and Salad, Pavlova, Anzac Biscuits & Pumpkin Scones! In fact he enjoys almost everything that Hush from Possum Magic enjoys!

Watch Out for Kevin the Kiwi!!

Kevin the Kiwi will be visiting us from Meadowbank School in Auckland, New Zealand. We will be hosting his stay here at Serpell Primary. Whilst Kevin is visiting, we hope to show him all around our school, our suburb and of course, show him all the things which make us as Aussie's special! We sure hope he likes Vegemite, Minties & Pavlova!
